Solar panels on a tiled roof

A dedicated circuit

The inverter belongs on its own circuit in the consumer unit, with its own RCBO. Not plugged into a socket in the attic. It was often done that way for years, but it isn't to standard.

Registering

You register new panels with your grid operator via energieleveren.nl. In Amsterdam that's Liander. It takes ten minutes, and without it your energy supplier can't settle what you feed back properly.

Net metering ends

From 1 January 2027 the Dutch net metering scheme ends. What you feed back can no longer be offset against what you use. So it pays to use more of your own power while you're generating it, for example by running the washing machine during the day.

What we do

We install the circuit, connect the inverter and check whether your consumer unit can handle the extra load. The panels themselves we leave to a solar installer.
